Contemplative Practices
Faculty Interest Group
Kingsborough Community College
Open to all members of the CUNY community: faculty, staff, and students.
Welcome!
Led by Rick Repetti, this group meets on Zoom weekly (throughout the entire year) to engage in contemplative practices, especially meditation, and to explore ways to integrate such practices into the classroom as well as into our lives. Open to faculty, staff, and students, beginners and advanced practitioners. Meditations are generally about 20 minutes, in meetings that are typically approximately a half-hour in length, roughly around lunch time, so participants are likely to be able to both attend and have time for lunch, with the option of staying in the meeting for another half hour for Q&A/discussion. Participants are welcome to attend as often or as little as they prefer. The schedule varies from semester to semester, based on a Doodle schedule availability poll, so as to accommodate the most participants possible, in light of all our sometimes changing schedules. For more information or to join this group, please contact Rick by email here or call 718-368-5226.
